@demdanglibruls yes it seems you are right that he doesn’t support the idea of climate change, i didnt find him saying it personally however its probably true. that is disappointing to me as i will always stick to believing scientists first. however it’s possible he doesnt support it becuase of ratings.. if climate change support would help a campaign in this country al gore wouldve probably been president, right? anyways.. i agree with both what ron stands for, and agree climate change exists.
@theonemanparty7 Pulling the Greece Strawman? If you want to debate rationally, at least address the D party’s real positions. Greece has a very low retirement age, and high public wages cause the problem. Even with just those issues, the debt crisis wouldn’t be so large if it weren’t for their tax evasion problem.
@theonemanparty7 The denier industrial complex is more like it. You can compare AGW denialism to previous forms of denialism such as tobacco and ozone denialism, where a small group of handsomely paid former experts are told to deny. Look at Singer. Of course, you think thousands if not millions of scientists are involved in a massive worldwide liberal conspiracy to hide inconvenient data. That is a very laughable and idiotic conclusion.
@LFOD4US I like your message- and you are a lot saner than most of the people on here-but last time I checked RP was a denier. Of course he might not be now, but I read he was a “skeptic” in a report a year ago.
@papertigero I bet all the other thousands of climatologists who produce data and research are simply dreaming up new calamities too. That is a lot of dreams and lies.
@MyJonJonify You just used one of the oldest and most often refuted arguments in the book. it is a great example of cherry picking because people forget that there are cyclical oscillations in climate. It also ignores that 1998 was a record year due to a strong el nino.
If you chose 1995 or 2000 instead, for example, your example would fall apart quicker than soggy toilet paper.
Chinese airlines will not pay a charge on carbon emissions imposed by the European Union from January 1
“China, of course, will not cooperate with the European Union on the ETS (emissions trading scheme),” said Chai Haibo, deputy secretary-general of the China Air Transport Association, which represents the country’s airlines.
He said the Chinese government was considering “counter-measures” against the European Union
Kerry Emanuel’s wife, Susan Boyd-Bowman, renounced her American citizenship, becoming a citizen of the world, because she was ashamed to be an American. Of course she did that 30 years ago.
And being the fine upstanding republican Kerry married her anyway, despite their caustically opposed politics.
isn’t it amazing that the rarest of rare, a republican who believes in global warming, Kerry Emanuel, it turns out is invested in insurance companies who profit by selling bogus policies based on supposed risks from climate change, is in fact on the board of directors of two of them.
And in his day job at MIT he gets to dream up new calamities for these insurance companies to sell more policies on.
why is there no mention of RON PAUL! If he is elected president he is going to bring home all US troops. This includes the troops from the 500 or so military bases around the world. FACT: the US military is the biggest polluter on the planet. VOTE RON PAUL 2012 and he will eliminate the worlds biggest polluter…… and the the ppl complaining about the narrators accent. get over yourselves, there’s a big world out there. it’s not all red white and blue
Here’s what you do when all your candidates are denying climate change.. vote ron paul. i didn’t see him up on your list in the video.. here’s what you can do if you aren’t sure what to believe in climate change.. visit “climate(dot)nasa(dot)gov” spend some time in there and explore. I personally would believe NASA, on what’s going on with our weather than any wannabe president, or anybody flipping burgers or anybody else that happens to not be a scientist.
@Willam2 what a joke?!! i used to be a progressive liberal until i took calculus and understood macro-economics in college and they ARE BY FAR the worst party, if you want to end up like Greece democrats are where it’s at. However on the issue of global warming i’d ask if you are familiar with the military industrial complex?? It’s similar to the situation that has arisen with many scientists in regards to global warming in regards to money and proving global warming. Nothing is as it seems. .
yes music too loud hurt ears distracts
plus Aussie / New Zealand whatever accent is, of course, annoying. Imagine a whole country that speaks like theeeese ?
My problem with “moderate, reasonable, rational, enlightened Republicans” is that they’re still Republicans. After all this, after decades of the whole party just getting crazier and crazier, and especially after the past decade, why are they still in the party at all?
A “countervailing influence” in the Republican Party might have made sense a decade ago, but not now. It’s too late for that. And if all rational people join the Democrats, maybe we can keep at least one party reasonably sane.

Agree with reedyd. Drop the background music so that we can concentrate on words. Incidentally, anyone with a little hearing impairment will have a hard time hearing the words against the over loud music. On the video, we need more–much more–of these kinds of videos which permit thinking, reasonable Republicans that are persuaded by evidence rather than ideology to speak.
There is no scientific debate on the conclusion that CO2 emissions is causing a rapid warming of the earth’s temperature. Rapid in comparison to any other warming trend this earth has ever experienced. So for those who accept it is real but think it’s just part of Mother Nature are either misinformed or ignorant over the catastrophic consequences if this trend continues at the pace it is going. Life as we know it will no longer exist. That’s the very real situation we are facing as humans.
“The struggle for Republicans who believe in climate change” – This is a logical contradiction. People who believe in the climate change ideology are called communist loons, not Republicans.
A carbon footprint is "the total set of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person.Greenhouse gases can be emitted through transport, land clearance, and the production and consumption of food, fuels, manufactured goods, materials, wood, roads, buildings, and services. For simplicity of reporting, it is often expressed in terms of the amount of carbon dioxide, or its equivalent of other GHGs, emitted. The concept name of the carbon footprint originates from ecological footprint discussion. The carbon footprint is a subset of the ecological footprint and of the more comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
